Many thanks to reader dolcevita for alerting me to Arte TV's latest opera streaming project.
On Tuesday 29 September La Bohème will be coming atcha, live, from a block of council flats in Bern.
More than 20 different nationalities live there, and they'll be participating (it's not clear exactly how) in addition to professional opera singers like Saimir Pirgu and the Bern Symphony Orchestra. No nook or cranny will be safe from the roving cameras - there'll even be a scene in the elevator.
It will be broadcast live on TV for those who live in Euroland and simultaneously streamed for those who don't. And - here's the angle - you can play vision mixer and choose from seven different shots at any time.
The programme begins at 20:00 CET (7pm UK time).
