Your chance to find out this month with the opportunity to catch six Handel operas in less than two weeks.
Five of these come from English Touring Opera. Their Handelfest tour kicks off on 15 October with a new production of Flavio in the the Royal College of Music's mini-opera house, the Britten Theatre. Teseo, Tolomeo, Alcina and Ariodante follow, demonstrating the developments in Handel's style during his most fertile creative period. As usual with ETO, all are very reasonably priced for full productions.
An accompanying brochure (which can be downloaded from the website) sets out a complementary programme of recitals and free talks, together with accommodation and restaurant suggestions (now there's a useful idea).
And if that's not enough, William Christie and Les Arts Florissants bring a concert performance of Susanna to the Barbican on 25 October.
