The roll call, announced today, includes Daniel Barenboim, Martha Argerich and Stephen Kovacevich, Cecilia Bartoli, Diana Damrau, Jonas Kaufmann, Jordi Savall and Hespèrion XXI, András Schiff, Philippe Jaroussky, Maria João Pires, Andreas Scholl, the Takács Quartet, Thomas Hampson, Dame Mitsuko Uchida, Susan Graham, Stephen Hough, Steven Isserlis, Joshua Bell and Leif Ove Andsnes.
Karita Mattila will open the season in September 2010, and Alfred Brendel will present a lecture-recital series.
The season is split into three separate periods, September – December, January – March and April – July, with booking for each starting around three months beforehand.
For £10 you can join the mailing list, which gives booking priority over the general public, or for more money and greater priority, you can join the Friends. As the Hall holds only around 500, this can be a distinct advantage in getting tickets for the more popular concerts.
