The Royal Opera House are to bring a Proms-style concert version of Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg to Birmingham's Symphony Hall in January 2012.
Of course it's not long since WNO treated the Wagner-starved city to the very same bunch of cobblers (possibly - shhhh - with some of the same cast). But I think we all worked out long ago that opera houses never talk to one another.
