After unveiling the individual operas over the last couple of years, the Paris Opera are ready to present Günter Krämer's Ring Cycle in full.
But there's only one chance to see it (18 - 26 June 2013) so demand is bound to be high when online booking opens tomorrow, 1 February. Prices for the full cycle run from €530 to €890, and include champagne, petit fours and other Frenchy snacks, though not programmes (a whopping €15 per opera).
The alternative is to catch the four operas separately over four dates between January and June 2013. Four different subscription packages go on sale tomorrow, priced at €140 to €576 (a 20% discount on individual prices).
The cast includes Thomas Johannes Mayer and Egils Silins as Wotan, Janice Baird, Petra Lang and Alwyn Mellor as Brünnhilde, Kim Begley as Loge, Peter Sidhom as Alberich, Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke as Mime, Sophie Koch as Fricka, Edith Haller as Freia and Gutrune, Stuart Skelton as Siegumund, Martina Serafin as Sieglinde, Evgeny Nikitin as Gunther and Torsten Kerl as Siegfried. Philippe Jordan conducts.
