Howja fancy "an orgy of sexual depravity and sadistic cruelty" for just twenty quid?
All remaining stalls and circle tickets for ENO's Caligula are now reduced to £20 using the code CALIGTWENTY.
The opera's composer Detlev Glanert explains what it's all about:
Thanks to readers Richard and Gilbert for finding the deal.
If ENO will give me £20 I might consider it

Even if they did that and paid my train fare into London as well I still don't think I could be bothered...

oh party people, where is your sense of adventure? I bought my ticket 10 weeks ago - really looking forward to it. I like what I can glean of Detlev Glanert on Youtube very much - there's an energy and sympathy and play in his composition, he creates lots of space for the solo voice. Horrid ENO marketing have not helped with their horrid poster of a man's head covered in blood, and the rather grim Benedict Andrews just a little too close up and banging on about screams. It may not be a bundle of fun, but I think we could hear some riches in the writing. See you there on the 7th June........

I know. Silly me. Bought the ticket in a fit of enthusiasm while I was at another ENO show. But I should be able to move down to a grander seat. Maybe the Royal Box??
