Parioli is the best residential area of Rome, like Mayfair here. It is close to the centre and near the beautiful Villa Borthese art gallery. His description of Rome made me quite homesick and I made a note of most of the restaurants he mentions. The French Church with the 3 Caravaggios is as magnificent as the Caravaggios themselves.
