On Monday 7 January, the Royal Opera House are streaming - all day - what they call "an unprecedented glimpse into life behind the scenes with The Royal Opera."
Although the stream is live, quite a bit of the content will be either pre-recorded or set up specially for the event. So don't expect to see tenors administering the elixir of lurve to sopranos or anything like that.
It begins at 10:30am, and here are some of the things you can expect to see:
10:45am - John Fulljames presents designs for his new production of La donna del lago.
11.30am - rehearsals for The Minotaur, followed by chorus call for Nabucco.
1:30pm - Kasper Holten/Antonio Pappano discussion/interview.
6pm - vocal masterclass with Antonio Pappano.
7:30pm - behind the scenes look at Act III of Die Walküre, pre-recorded during a live performance.
Timetable unknown - interviews with John Tomlinson & Christine Rice of The Minotaur, Antonio Pappano, Harrison Birtwistle, Minotaur conductor Ryan Wigglesworth, Michael Portillo (has he applied for any jobs recently, I wonder?) and Rolando Villazon (though since he's pulled out of that night's live show, it's possible his contribution will no longer be required).
Kirsty Wark presents.
You can watch in three different places - the ROH website, the Guardian website, and The Space. 'Selected highlights' will also be made available 'later' on the ROH YouTube channel.
