Opera and airbags meet again tonight at the Opéra de Rouen with the world premiere of Michel Fourgon's Lolo Ferrari. The late star of films such as Double Airbags and Planet Boobs, best known here for Channel 4's Eurotrash, is musically memorialised in a series of twelve vignettes.
In reality, it took the titular heroine over 20 operations to achieve her record-busting 71" chest. Soprano Chantal Santon will resort to bra-stuffing.
