You pay the money, you pick the show

Chicago Opera Theater have come up with a terrific fund-raising plan.

This year, the same as last, punters are being given the opportunity to choose which one of three shortlisted operas they'd like the company to produce next season. At $1 per vote, and no limit on the number of votes allowed, COT are hoping to raise a tidy sum towards their costs. Last year's vote put $45,000 in their pockets.
