The Royal Opera House today ventures a further toe into digital waters with the launch of its own iTunes U site on www.roh.org.uk/itunes.
This holds "almost 300 items of free multi-media content on opera, music, ballet and dance" including "film, audio and written resources on specific productions or taken from ROH Education's hugely successful Insight events programme, a series of educational events comprising master-classes, interviews with artists and backstage staff, and sessions focused on specific repertory." Whatever that means. Anyway, if you can recommend anything on there, do please report back.
Thank you for this - it looks as if it could be very interesting. I have downloaded it in iTunes - there are recordings of some "In Conversations" (Villazon, Alagna, Kaufmann, Thomas Allen...).
They will probably add to it later on.

Yes, it does look good - thanks for the tip. I listened to Alagna last night and will download more audio anon. I have, however found a problem. I can download the videos to iTunes and they play happily on my PC, but not to my iPod sixth generation Classic which apparently 'does not support them'. What would, or is there a way round it? Any ideas?

Anotheroperalover - maybe you need to download the newer version of iTunes (free).
Try this :

On the other hand, if you already have iTunes 9.0.2 I can't help you!

some people don't like iTunes (me) so I won't be able to hear any of it
