and here's a close-up of Anna last night at the Royal Festival Hall:
(thanks to Faye for the detective work!)
daddy I want a harpsichord
I don't believe it - I was with Faye last night and I agreed that the dresses were similar, but didn't realise it was the EXACT SAME FROCK!

You wouldn't think TWO people would chose the same hideous and vulgar confection.
Yesterday was great fun, though, whatever the frocks (old Dima also sported some dodgy threads - from one too-tight outfit with pleated lapels to one too-tight velvet ensemble). The programme was very well chosen, and the Russian arias particularly appreciated. Netrebko had the audience eating out of her hand - she has a very winning flirtatious personality (oh - and she can sing). I felt it was my reward for sitting through Phaedra the evening before...

Hate to admit this, but the frock actually looks better on Barbie

Manou, as regards hideousness and vulgarity, well, you sort of expect it of some people, Barbie included - but I thought Netrebko had more taste. I agree with Faye that Barbie wears the frock better - she is younger and more toned, and is either wearing VERY good control underwear or can get away without it. It's also her colour - it certainly isn't Anna's.
I thought Hvorostovsky's second (navy velvet) outfit was fab, but the first one - what was he thinking?
I thought musically the second half was much better than the first, and I wish there had been a few more Russian numbers.

Thanks for the photos Intermezzo.....do you have any of Dima in his horrendous too-tight 1980s Spandau Ballet outfit please?
Ruth - yes, the frock doesn't suit Anna at all - neither the colour, nor the style which makes her shoulders look rather chunky. I think both of Anna's frocks would have looked much more flattering if she'd worn a bra underneath

This is a music blog .. or so I thought !! not a fashion blog.
If I won't to read this sort of thing I will buy Heat magazine (shortly before shooting myself) :P

Is Anna pregnant again?

oy, that type of dress suits Jenkins far more.

I just want to say that I was sitting dead centre in Row F of the stalls, and that close up Anna is much prettier than she looks in the photos. The dress she wore in the first half does not give the impression that a sibling for Thiago is on the way...
Poor a mac - sorry we have upset you to the extent that you have had to comment in two threads and still do not know whether you want or won't. Many apologies.

OMG thats so awful I bet they were both gutted. Anyway its the closest Katherine Jenkins will ever get to matching La Trebs, in my opinion. Good luck to her. But Trebs certainly looks preggers, and if not, then even more respect to her for not being stick thin after having a baby. A NORMAL celebrity (in so far as anyone with a voice like that can be normal)

Jenkins and Netrebko are both fake anyway, so you cannot expect any better with their dresses and the colours they choose. They have been both famous because they haunt men's fantasies and this is why they are liked so much. Only Dmitri is worth the while. He is a very good singer but he cannot hold himself back when it comes to money.
