Talk about quick off the mark. The 2010 season hasn't even started and already Glyndebourne are airing their 2011 schedule.
There will be two new productions. As announced last year, one is David McVicar's Die Meistersinger, for which Vladimir Jurowski will wield the baton. The other is Handel's Rinaldo from Robert Carsen, conducted by baroque specialist Ottavio Dantone. Revivals of Don Giovanni, L'Elisir d'Amore, Rusalka and The Turn of the Screw complete the picture.
McVicar Meistersinger? Naked wrestling on the Pegnitz?

Given such a program, I've got to rent an apartment in East Sussex and spend a summer in England next year!

@John, I hope not. Indeed, McVicar seems to have become a bit like some over-intellectualized and grossly sensual German directors whom he criticized.
With excellent singers like Gerald Finley and Topi Lehtipuu in this production, I expect a charming, funny, and sophisticated Meistersinger on the level of "The Magic Flute" and "The Marriage of Figaro" that Mr. McVicar gave us.
