The Royal Opera House makes a rare price cut for next month's revival of David McVicar's Salome. For performances on 9, 12 and 16 July, orchestra stalls tickets are £65 (normally £95-105) thanks to a Metro offer.
Book online using the code METRO or call 020 7304 4000 and quote 'Salome Metro Offer'.
(Thanks Faye for the tip).
The headline is worthy of La Cieca!

I just got a rather desperate sounding e-mail from the ROH asking me to please buy some tickets for Manon. Possibly something to do with casting a cancel-happy diva alongside a stadium pop tenor. Can a price cut be far off?

I've messed up and have 2 front row Amphi tickets for Manon that I can't go to on the first night - I've been looking at replacements on one of the following performances, but there's not much left - in the Amphitheatre anyway, so not sure they'll need to cut prices.

A different deal also for £65 Orchestra Stalls seats, but valid on 3rd July which the Metro one isn't, came through my letterbox with the Barbican July/August mailing. Valid 3, 9, 12 July - AND this one includes a free glass of interval bubbly. Discount code in this case is BARBICAN.
