Fancy working for the Bavarian State Opera? A couple of positions have just cropped up on their vacancies list.
For Der Rosenkavalier you need to be small and well-behaved, and for La Cenerentola, small or medium build, and black.
Oh, and although the jobs are teasingly listed alongside the Chorus vacancies, I'm afraid you have to be a dog as well.
... I'm enchanted with your comment ... may I ask you just a small thing - what about moggies? ;)

Aaw, sweet! Nice to know that the Bavarian State Opera is an equal opportunity employer and that race is not important - although they are biased in favour of a black mutt for Cenerentola!

The Cenerentola is a Ponelle's black-and-white production originally seen in Edinburgh in the early 1970s so the dog presumably has to be colour co-ordinated. Most of the set is white and the costumes are black so a white dog might have been invisible, like an arctic fox on a snowscape.....
