The 5 July performance of the ROH's Les Troyens is to be streamed online via The Space (UK only) and broadcast via TV channel Mezzo (certain European countries only).
The performance will also be available on demand on The Space until the end of October.
It doesn't affect me personally, but I know at least one person across The Pond who is going to be *very* disappointed that it will not be available here. I had already got her hopes up by telling her that the possibility of streaming had been mentioned at the Insight Day on Sunday. Glyndebourne's streaming is available worldwide, why does the ROH have to restrict it?

Intermezzo replies - That might be a good question to ask the ROH via the 'comments' at the foot of their announcements.

When the orchestra and chorus agree the media deal there will be greater scope for alternative media, I would imagine

I have posted a comment on the ROH site but it is awaiting approval. BTW I just noticed a typo in my previous comment, "here" should read "there". I am in the UK as readers of previous comments from me will probably have realised.

believe your link to "the space" is incorrect. clicking your link takes you to space.org rather than "thespace.org"

Intermezzo replies - The original link was exactly as given by the ROH. Now updated.

The link is still not correct - it should be www.thespace.org (the link takes you to www.thespace.org uk - which doesn't exist)
