More Salzburg Don Carlo

A few people have emailed me to say they can't view the YouTube video of the Salzburg Don Carlo any more.

As an alternative, many countries should still be able to see the Medici stream. For those that can't, Arte are planning to place their live recording (currently unavailable) in their archive from some date in early September, so check back later.

Thanks! It's sad to admit I was disapointed by Kaufmann's performance on the 22/8 in Salzburg. He was good but not excellent, just one hair below the others, which made a huge difference (not to mention a little "accident" in "Io la vidi"). Most of all, I was disapointed by his acting: the same old gestures, poises, face expressions we've seen a thousand times, lacking a certain noblesse (after all, his character was an Infante of Spain!). So, I'll give him a second chance on video.
