Sonya Yoncheva has just cancelled her planned appearances in Berlin this March/April, leaving her diary free.
Yoncheva has already been announced as Netrebko's replacement at the Vienna Staatsoper in May.
Expect further news soon.
daddy I want a harpsichord
She still looks to be doing Traviata in April at Munich - or at least she is currently.
Still reckon split casting might be the way to go. Perhaps Yonchevea for early April performances then Perez?

She is due in Munich for Violettas on April 15, 19 and 25, so not quite free!

Only the last of those dates clashes with Faust.

Yoncheva was a sensational Lucia in Paris last year, and would be a worthy replacement for Netrebko. Here's hoping ROH follows Vienna's example and nabs her quick.

You don't expect her to be jetting back and forth between Munich and London, do you?

Intermezzo - She might do. Others have. Alternatively, the ROH may split the casting. She may even cancel Munich if they let her - it's only a short-run revival after all.
