After agreeing to cover for Anna Netrebko's Faust non-appearance in Baden Baden, then pulling out herself, Angela Gheorghiu has now done exactly the same to Hamburg.
"Surprisingly" according to the the city's International Musikfest, who are obviously not used to her wavering ways.
This time round she can't use the excuse of "a new production that has not been conceived from the very beginning for me" - it's a concert performance.
She is still listed as Marguerite in Baden-Baden. After she announced on FB that she was not going to sing Marguerite after all, the Elbphilharmonie removed her name from the site immediately, but according to the website of the Festspiele Baden-Baden she will be singing. The message about her cancellation was removed from the FB page.

Hamburg have not just removed her name from the site; they have written that she has withdrawn and that a replacement will be announced. Gheorghiu's Facebook page is not a reliable source for any information, it appears.
