Is that why you've been silent? Engaging in bizarre cross-breeding experiments such as this Peapug?
I really don't think I want to hear what noise it makes as twilight falls....

Oh thank goodness you're back! I was beginning to go through withdrawal...

I miss your opera reviews IM. I really do.

I'm joining the chorus of the admirers. We miss you. The opera news and tidbits are great, but the real gold dust has always been your fabulously insightful and funny reviews. Best in the business by a half mile. I hope you're alright.

Intermezzo, is there any opera within commuting distance of London between August 6 and August 20? That's when I'll be there. I'm even desperate enough to consider a fast train to Paris, but I don't see anything listed in the big venues. Everybody must be at their summer homes then.

There's opera in Dalston at the Grimeborn festival: https://www.arcolatheatre.com/whats-on

There is Glyndebourne, you can get there by train and there are special buses between Lewes station and the opera house. All performances finish in time for the last train back to London.
